Hydro jetting is the process of clearing slow moving drains, clogged sewage pipes and the debris buildup in the plumbing system. Hydro jetting is commonly used to clear blockages in sewer lines, storm drains, and other plumbing systems. The high-pressure water can remove grease, debris, roots, and mineral buildup that standard methods might not fully clear.
Hydro jetting is largely used in commercial places like restaurants and industrial areas, but they can also be used in your clogged house water and sewer lines. If you have years of mineral build-ups, large amounts of hair clogs or any other greasy matter buildups, hydro jetting is a beneficial service that removes all debris from the clogged pipes and the pressure given by the jet pump ensures proper cleaning and can prevent future clogging issues.
How Does Hydro Jetting Work?
The process of Hydro Jetting varies depending upon the clogs that occur. We at Plumbing Care Inc. would feed special nozzles inside the pipe or the drain to clear out the clogs with the help of various pressure levels. These pressure levels also depend on the size of the pipe used in the plumbing system and type of clog that has occurred. Below are the steps that shows how a hydro jetting process is carried out in general
Step 1: The Plumber will inspect your System and help in identifying the major blockages
This step is done by experienced plumbers who do a video inspection of the plumbing system and they identify the blockages or clogs that occurred in it. During this process our plumbers will also do a thorough inspection of the pipes to determine if they can handle the hydro jetting process. The plumber will access if the pipes can withstand the pressure levels of the hydro jetting process or if it would be better to snake or auger the pipes so the pipes do not break.
Step 2: Send in pressurized water to clean pipes
After determining the access points our plumbers will drop hoses into the pipes and then they turn on the hydro jetting machine. This machine has the capacity to generate very high pressure water and needs to be handled only by expert plumbers. Our plumbers will adjust the water pressure based on the situation and the pipe’s condition to hold it.
As the high pressurized water runs, the hose moves through the pipe of the plumbing system which in turn will free up the buildups and heavy clogs that come in its way.
